    Well all you folks that don't want to pay duty, excise on things purchased over the internet should just come on down to the land of OZ. If we buy something with a value of less that A$1000 then it just sails through customs. Doesn't matter what mode of carriage is used, post, fedex, dhl etc. You can do it day after day as long it's for personal use

    See...somehow that $1,000 limit sounds reasonable to me. It's not like you're going to screw up your national economy by bringing in less than $1K in goods once in a while...
