Thanks to Stillwater Kilts
I am pretty new to the forum although not to kilt wearing. I have owned and worn kilts for most of my 50+ years. Until I discovered this forum I had no idea that the world of non-wool off the rack kilts even existed. I ordered a SWK Standard at the sale price of $85. It arrived here in Canada in less than a week and I was delighted with the quality and fit when I opened it.
I ordered it in a tartan I have a family connection with on my mothers side but also is in the same colour scheme of my bespoke Canadian made tank so all my accessories work just fine with it. My wife says she thinks it actually looks better on me than the tank. (I think because the lighter material does not further widen my already ample belly).
I have been wearing it every evening at home and I am sure it is going to probably more than double the amount of time I go kilted for casual or outdoor activities where I would be hesitant to wear my expensive bespoke family tartan kilt.
Time will tell how it stands up to wear and abuse but I can say that after a week I am completely delighted with it.
Thank you
