I was looking for much the same thing. That reddish line goes with everything I have, from my Lucchese kid boots right up to my hair.

This EBay seller, in England, has many beautiful Harris tweeds (every true Harris is Scottish) and lighterweight tweeds from Scottish and English mills.

In February, I bought a length of Harris tweed to make a cape from him. Beautiful fabric, exactly as described, and it arrived here (Pacific Northwest USA) within ten days of my order. Even with the duty and shipping, I got enough for a cape, with enough left over for a skirt, for about $85 US.

These fabrics are not widely available here in the States. All our local fabrics stores have gone quilt-y and craft-y.

I've always sworn by our premium American woolen mill, Pendleton. They have a store in Portland, Oregon. That's another good source. Too bad for me, I'd have to spend nearly $80 in gas just to get down to Portland.

If you do not know how to "sponge" a wool (a type of preshrinking) before you lay out your pattern, please PM me and I will send a tutorial on how to do it at home. This is a very important step that any competent tailor will do for you as part of the tailoring service.
