What happened to me yesterday made me think of this thread!

I was to pipe all the graduates in at a local University.

As I was warming up the pipes, a bevy of women of various ages came out of some offices and pretty much surrounded me, asking me all sorts of questions and taking their photo with me etc. One gave me her business card. They were very friendly.

When the conversation went in such a way that I was able to talk about my wife, the women soon melted away!

    Chick magnet indeed!

I know what you mean, Richard. Often when kilted alone running errands or on a gig I find I must occassionally mention my wife or I start feeling guilty!

Of course I also mention this to the wife to get her just a bit jealous! Who was it here that said rising stock value abroad equals rising stock value at home?

It almost seems that the term "Kilt, reign o'er me," is what happens in the heart of the woman encountering the man, kilted, and going about minding whatever business it is that he's tending. arf

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Probably a good time to add the pic of the Hungarian lady I met on the trail last weekend - she couldn't say enough good things about the kilt and insisted on a picture. On the way back to the trailhead later I met TWO Russian ladies from Siberia who wanted kilt pics too. Sadly, my camera battery had died and I didn't carry an extra...lovely lasses for sure.

A single man can never be lonely if he's kilted and out and about.

While I too have recently had some nice compliments and interested questions from women about my kilt, it is sad to say that, unlike on this site, the comments from men are generally eminently inane and forgettable. Anyone else noticed that?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
