Kilted Birthday
Saturday was the milestone birthday for me, 65 and my wife asked what I would like to do. I said that going out to lunch with some close friends would be great, wife gets ready and I put on my MacRae hunting tartan kilt and she just had this strange look, like are you going that way, she is not into this kilt wearing. When we arrived at our friends home he just smiled and his wife said, had she known that I would be kilted she would have had hers on. I asked if she would like to change and she did, clan Gunn. The day went great, the waiter at the restaurant complimented me on the kilt, later we shopped and had 3 more positive comments from ladies. Also walked by a wedding party (punk style suits and lime green tennis shoes), one of them said, nice kilt and that I was better dressed than they were. In all a great day to be kilted, this will be a birthday to remember.

Well done, f150k. I went kilted on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and enjoyed all of it (well, not quite so much being at work on Sunday evening, but it was still better than having trousers on).
My wife is like yours. But I am hopeful that mine will warm to the idea, and that yours will, too. Good for your friend’s wife.
And congratulations on turning 65! I am three years behind you.
Regards,
Mike

What a great birthday. I am more of a special event kind of kilt guy (for now anyway) and I can not imagine a better time than someone's birthday. I'm glad you enjoyed your day.
