What did their sporran look like?
The sporran was rectangular goatskin with a goatskin flap. It was not worn on campaign. I am going to make one for parade and dances. Cutting up a goatskin coat from the 70's.
Where did you get the bonnet?
I made the bonnet. My wife knitted it and I felted it and added the cockade and feathers and detachable brim. The only thing I did not make in the photo was the bayonet and scabbard.
Would the headgear be of a Grenadier company ?
I represent the other flank company, the light company. I am too small to be a grenadier. The bonnet is the same for all companies, but the hackle in the bonnet is green for a light infantry company along with the light co. shoulder wings and small buttons on the front of the coat.
