This was quite possibly one of the coldest days I've ever experienced in Florida. It was so cold my poor son's legs were blue... it was blustery and about 23* out (which is sweltering, I'm sure, for most of you hardy northern types).

Off topic warning:
Nice pic - you guys look very comfy in your kilts. I'm guessing that was 23 C (about 73 F)? That's a nice spring day around here. It's currently about 89 F (31 C) and warming to about 91 F (33 C) today. Relative humidity is hovering around 50% (currently about 45%, but projected to go up towards 60% later tonight). It can get much hotter and more humid (we've had heat index temps of 110-115 F). I'm with CDNSushi - sitting inside and drinking cool beverages (water for me - can't afford the relative luxury of alcohol for now) with a small fan to circulate the air. (I also have an issue with heat intolerance - once my core temp goes up, I stay hot for hours, even with ice packs and cool beverages.)
Sorry for the diversion folks - back to your regularly scheduled thread...
John

Sweaters in July!! Sweating would be right. It's 100+ these days hereabouts...
Here I am with Zardoz in Houston - February 2010. I'm wearing my "jumper" (that I got from Canada) with my Buchanan Hunting.

I often wear sweaters (jumpers) with my kilt. I've a couple of cable knit sweaters, one of which my parents brought back from Scotland for me several years ago that go smashingly with my kilts.

I've got a couple of sweaters that I really don't wear except with my kilt. One was made for me and is a touch too short, but works out well when wearing my kilt.

Tefor ... I wasnt going to say anything about the Juraisic Park up there as well. It might frighten people on xmarks and put them off coming to Wales completely. Think it best to just keep it to you and me .. lol
Hope you ok tref .. havent seen you for ages. If you about on 15th and free would be great to see you at the hall. Dot and Arwyn often ask after you.

Woollen sweaters/jumpers are almost normal wear with a kilt here in Oz during winter at casual things like wandering around gatherings, dancing classes and the like, usually with a polo shirt on underneath in case it warms up a bit. At the recent Portarlington Celtic festival it was quite cool so I wore a thick white genuine Arran (Irish) jumper with my Scottish tartan kilt. Response, yes just one, a guy I hadn't seen in 20 years and did not recognise spotted the jumper then me. He is Irish, yes the jumper certainly was certainly OK that day he almost drooled over it but he did not comment on my kilt and to the best of my knowledge had never seen me in one prior! Nobody bothers very much here, if a bit more dressy as at a dinner or formal, a decent coat, shirt and tie is usual.

Hi Joshua, I've been kilted at that Quaker Steak and Lube more than once! Used to go down there on Thursdays with friends to the classic car show. Had a blast. Are you in the Clearwater area? We were in Oldsmar until moving across state last year to take care of my wife's mother.
