As an owner of 5 Freedom Kilts pieces (3 dress, 2 cargo), I would first determine what you wish your kilt to do.

If you want a predominantly dress garment, then the dress model would be appropriate. Then of course come all the decisions as to options, material, pockets, pleating, etc. This does not preclude you from wearing the kilt more casually. It is fairly easy to dress a kilt down but more challenging to dress one up, that is one that is made to be more casual.

That being said, a casual kilt can be dressed up to a degree. If you want versatility and ease of care, a casual model might be more in keeping.

The cargo model is a great every day kilt. It replaces p@#+s, depending on options it can allow you to carry the contents of a small house and in cotton or blend fabric, is very easy to care for.

Deciding on your first kilt is never easy but don't worry, you will be ordering another and then you can fill the gap that your wardrobe may have. To aid in the final selection, if you have one, definitely involve your significant other.

As to my personal favourite......................................... ...THE NEXT ONE!

As Mikey has said, choosing the Model for your kilt will depend on answering the question.
"What do you want to do in your kilt?"

If you want to go hiking, mow the lawn, or have a rugged look to our outfit then the Cargo would be your choice.

If you want to wear your kilt with kilt hose, go out to dinner, or wear your kilt with a shirt and tie, then perhaps a Casual Model is for you.

If you are used to the straps and buckles of a Traditional Kilt, and you want the full apron to go with a sporran then the Dress Model will fit the bill best.

If you are still unsure turn on skype on your computer and give me a call, I'll turn on my webcam and show each model to you 'in person'.

Remember, I am only an email, phone or skype call away.
