Fois Gu Siorraidh Dha - Eternal Peace to Him

Turpin made my first sporan, it is a dandy just like him! I had the pleasure to meet him at Stone Mountain games a few years ago.

If any of Turpin's family reads this post, let me just simply say, Thank You.
I talked with Cindy about it and I'm planning on coming to Grandfather Mountain for the first time this year. I look forward to meeting you.

Never met Turpin in person, however he was always kind to me on the forum. He also requested that I send him a sporran that needed some repair, he didn't make the sporran but did the fix and sent it back-no charge. A first class man.

My Wife, Boy, and I had the rare pleasure this past fall to sit and share a drink and comfortable conversation with Turp and Beverly at the pre-games gathering at Stone Mountain. Also spent some time at the games with him but he was pouring his heart into the Clan Gordon tent which clearly brought him joy and satisfaction. Every time our paths crossed he was bright, cheery, friendly-----bigger than life itself. Now he shall remain that way forever.

Beverly, McFarkus, our condolences go out with deepest sincerity and sympathy. There is too little time, but we must wring every drop of joy from it while we can, along with any other emotion good or bad that is squeezed out with it.

    With honor and sadness,
    Jeff

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Deborah and I always enjoyed hanging out and talking to Turpin at the Stone Mountain Games. I always appreciated his humor, joy of life, and his valuable advice. He will be greatly missed!!!

    McFarcus,
I am so sorry for your loss, you have lost a brother and I have lost a friend. Turpin was held in high esteem by our band and his generosity and graciousness will be well remembered and sorely missed. I will miss visiting with him at various games and raising a class as well as receiving a cool drink from him after dismissing the band from a hot and humid parade ground. And his humor and insight into all manner of things kept the conversation going at S.E.K.S Kilt Nights. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am truly saddened by this news and my prayers and condolences go to his family and friends. I never met Turpin, though we chatted over the phone and by email concerning the two sporrans I ordered from him over the course of a year or so; two sporrans that are already my favorites and which I will treasure even more now that he is no longer among us.
