First time kilted in over two months following a recent deployment. Stood in line for an hour to vote and celebrated my civic duty with a couple of post-vote Manhattans.

Can I inquire about the jacket. I'm assuming it's a lovat green tweed; would you divulge the supplier? I am also curious, was it bespoke? Or were you able to use an off the rack size?
Thanks. And cheers.

the Jacket and waistcoat are from Kilt Society formally Buyakilt.com they are an advertiser here. The color is Highland green, I'm very pleased with my purchase, the one thing I will say is order the size you normally wear do not order on size larger. I will be having things taken in a bit.

Today, I reached very far back in the armoire for my traditional Scottish kilt in ancient Malcolm tartan. Some here would say my only kilt as it’s made in Scotland. My aunt had left me some money in her Will which gave me the wherewithal some 19 years ago to purchase it. Got it order at the Piper’s Cove in Kearney, NJ.
Back then I was a road biking fanatic doing Century rides (100) and even one Double Century. Needless to say I was rather slim when I was fitted, so it’s a good feeling to be wearing it again.
Rather classically dressed; tattersall shirt (purchased at the surplus & game store in Thurso), Rooster woven tie, Harris Tweed conversion by Victoria Mackenzie, (VMAC) and my custom Artificer sporran.
A short day in the office taking the afternoon off and then traveling to my parental home, for which I’ll change in to one of 5.11’s.
So who else is doing a Kilted Friday?

Like a very fine whisky, my Clan Crest sporran you made for me is reserved for special occasions of Clan Society functions.
