I would love to not have to go to the haircut place again for a long time. As I said in an earlier post, the other way would be to comb my hair every day with a beard trimmer, LOL!
Keep it long, Ted!
Yeah. I liked the days when I had my long hair, braided the sides and tied it off in back (Now I think on it, it was like Aragorn's from the Lord Of The Rings movies). But then came the season for Civil War Re-enacting and the hair came off.
Ever since the day I had my hair cut off, I've regreted it as the worst decision I ever made. Actually, there was a worser decision - but that's a whole other story...
Yeah, I could have grown it back, but it wasn't good to have long hair when working around fiery furnases and fast moving air conditioner motors...

Hope you are able to resolve that technical issue James.

I'm sorry Robertson, I do feel for you. I don't know your situation, but I hope this discussion isn't in your face or anything.
Joel, I like my long hair. I work around open and white hot kilns ever so often and hair does have to be tucked up under a hat or something. That being said, I know a few long haired men and women who seem to do fine with just ponytails, and they work with open kilns all the time. I'm very amazed that there aren't more... singeings than there are.

I have known a few men who are bald in the MPB way and had very long hair:musicians. On the other hand, I know a couple of men who shave their heads completely and aren't going bald as far as I know: bikers. Hmmmm, I've known plenty of women who have very short hair cuts up to and including head shaving... It's all cool with me now.

Since we have MPB (male pattern baldness) is there such a thing as FPB (female pattern baldness)...?

Yes. I have heard of this, and it isn't always in the same way a man loses hair... sometimes just an over all thinning to the point of pachieness and so on. I don't know for sure, but I think most of the women who have this wear wigs. That being said, I've never seen any problem with women who have crew cut type hair cuts or bald so long as that hair style fits their facial features and head shape. Several girls had buzcuts and flat tops when and where I was growing up. Guess it's just what you get used to.
** I should clarify that a bit. Most of the girls and women had long hair, but there were enough with short hair that you got used to seeing women with short hair. Kind of a tomboy thing I guess you could say.

I haven't changed my hairstyle in 27 years, does that make it traditional?
