That's because of the "Stuck at Prom Duck Tape College Scolarship Contest" Now, if I could go back about a dozen years or so, and they had the colors on the market today, I might seriously consider a duct-tape kilt and prom dress (for my date)...

If you look at some of the entries, it's hard to believe it's duct tape.

On a related note, here's a couple duct-tape creations I found that may be of interest to those here...

FWIW Department - I actually saw someone wearing this jacket at the annual Christmas Walk in Alexandria, VA in December.

I probably should have taken a picture of him but I was so taken aback that the thought didn't occur to me until he was long past. I was hoping Mael would see him and take a photo.

Sorry I did not see this when it was originally posted (must have been away)
As soon as I saw it, I thought of the spiv in the St Trinians movies, Flash Harry I think his name was. Would be right up his alley.

Needs an equally bizarre set of trews to go with the jacket. And to add the final touch, a multitartan belt.

I was all set on buying one to wear with my satin David Bowie balloon pants, but you all shamed me out of it. Anyway, it only has 3 (or 4?) pockets, so not very practical. :-(
