That's funnier than you think - I'm an ethnic Jew through inheritance, and a technical Jew through the Mohel, but I was raised as a Christian - sort of a Yahwist in the Yeshua stream.

No bars for me either and still no problem with the ladies approaching....haven't tried a clerical collar though since I'm not entitled and not of the Christian faith. Having a lovely weekend with a visiting lady from California who was attracted to my kilts on line....kilts and the Internet - perfect pair for us olde geezer single guys...

Well, if you ever need to be left alone, let me loan you a collar for an evening.

I don't think that would have worked for me last night a two friends' wedding.

FWIW, I had four people ask 'the question', one was a slightly drunk lass, who tried to find out for herself, after a bit more 'liquid courage'.

By the way, I did have several more guests come up and compliment me on how well (and confident) I looked while kilted. Made me just want to kick up my heels in honor of my friends and mentors among the rabble.

I have not gotten any dates because of the kilt but I have gotten to know a number of ladies because of it. Case in point is one of the restaurant I frequent. There were two ladies that I alternated between. Had to do that too keep the peace. This went on for a year. I really enjoyed my dinners there. I never placed an order. The girls knew what I wanted and they just put in the order when I walked in the door. This was great but I knew eventually this had to come to an end. The young servers come and go. One graduated from school and moved out of the area. Her last day was the end of May. The other lady I expected to be around a while longer but she had an unexpected departure in April. She was sort-of fired. Apparently the issue was not her fault but company policy dictated all parties were to be let go or at least given a transfer to another store. Anyway, I assumed I had heard the last of her much to my disappointment. She was too young to go out with but dang we had a good time joking around when I was there. No one knew what happened to her other than she turned down the offer to transfer to another store. Fast forward to last night. I went to another restaurant not far from this one. Different company. I walked in with my kilt and was seated at a table on the other side of the place. As I was sitting there I noticed one of the servers walking out of the kitchen. She looked like the one from the other place. She had her back to me so I could not be certain. My server came back to my table with drinks. I know this girl's name so I asked my server if this was her. It sure was. I told my server to tell her "the kilt guy" was here. I have never seen a server so happy in all my life. She came running over to my table and I got a big hug. She told me she saw my car in the lot of the other place and was tempted to leave a note on my windshield to let me know where she was. She was afraid I might think that was weird so she did not do it. She was hoping that some day I would walk in as she knew I came there occasionally. I got hugged four times before I left. So it looks like I will be changing restaurant going forward. She told me she was going through KILT withdraw! I made her day and she made mine. I sure thought I would never see her again. This friendship came about all because of the kilt. Not bad for a guy that is 54 having a 20 and 27 year old looking forward to my visit.

I think the first girl was just responding to the kilt! Kilts are..."Results-Wear"...
