Yes, mostly as downloaded "ebooks", so far, and they are just as good as the novels. Many of them were printed as short stories, in collections with other writers, but some have been reprinted ( in "hard copy") with other short stories, for example, some of The Lord John Grey short stories. You won't be disappointed.

You may just have to be patient and wait for Series 1 to conclude and be released on DVD. There are 14 more episodes to go in Season 1, so I suspect it will be a wee while!

I recorded the first episode on Saturday and watched it on Sunday. It was excellent, and remained as true to the books as I had hoped so far... at least, as much as they could in order to squeeze it into short episodes. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season!

I bit the bullet last month, and purchased a HB copy of "Written in My Own Heart's Blood." Of the 8 novels that Diana Gabaldon has written about James Fraser and Claire Randall and their associates and families, I have enjoyed all of them, but the last two have been more enjoyable to me than any since Outlander, which I read over 20 years ago, while working in a small bookstore of some renown. I have been intending to a bit of research on the various tartans mentioned in the books, but have not gotten to that. As the events in 18th Century locales all pre-date the development and widespread use of aniline (coal tar derived) dyes, I know that I must look to the older color schemes.

That one (Goshplay) also had a 3 day lag on "free" cancellation, hence only a 2 day trial. You pay to cancel immediately online. The "free" method involves an 0845 number phone call so not actually free anyway.

Most series can be watched through movreel or similar. It's how I watched Game of Thrones, because it's on HBO and we don't get that generally, in the Netherlands.
