Then I suppose I'd better up the post...

Last night I arrived home to find The Scarf relaxing on my dinning room table. I do believe the journey from Colorado to the beautiful shores of Northern Virginia (shores?) was kind to it so we'll be off on a photo op at the weekend.

    Keep watch on this space..........

Great news you have the scarf Dee. Looking forward to your pics. And yes, the scarf is multilingual, very user friendly and fully house trained.

Knowing how much Derek and Elaine like hiking (as do I) I rightly assumed The Scarf does too. The town we live in has 60+- miles of bike and walking trails so this weekend off we went.

Here we paused on this bridge to look down into the stream to spot fish. This stream is called Snake Den Run. I stay on the path in this area. (It was VERY humid.)

Here we are a little further along on a dock at the upper end of Lake Audubon watching the ducks.

A little bit further along we have veered a bit north and are walking along the dam trail of Lake Thoreau.

In not too much more time we reached our destination:

    http://www.thelakesideinn.com

Where before very long the scarf was working to impress the lovely female bartender (shyly out of the frame) with it's command of Welsh and English.

Alas the local pub has no welsh beer or whiskey so I bought the scarf a few er......Budweisers.
