Good luck String. I know the type of brown-ish you are talking about. You'll have to take my word on this, but I was thinking that wasabout the color of your hair until Joel said it was black. Um... I think blue would look very nice with that color range. Hope you have fun. Turkey feathers, te he, or it might be better to say tail feathers.

string, I think your hair color is nice; but if you should do it...

I can't wait to see string as a blue-haired lady!

Well, blue is a very special color to me personally. I think putting blue on the ends of your hair is a very nice idea. I don't think making your hair all blue, in a punkish way, is that weird. I do however, think it is odd to dye your hair slightly blue if you have gray hair. The tiniest bit of blue would make white look a bit whiter, but I think that is painfully over done most times to the point of blue tented gray hair... You know what I mean.

That being said, I am lucky to have dark charcoal brown hair with a slight redness in the sun. This looks quite lovely with gray and as I age and someday go salt and pepper, it will be just fine. I am not graying yet, but will gracefully and happily embrace this as it happens. I also have never seen anything wrong with gray hair, and don't understand all the hubbub...

Yeah...that's the best attitude to have. I got my first grey hairs at age 12. Then they really started kicking in at 23. I like the all grey look.

Long salt and pepper hair. I'll wear a kilt too. Probably a salt and pepper tweed belted plaid. And a grizzled hermit beard with earrings. I have three plaids right now. A blue and black, a two tone gray, and a two tone brown. I'm having them fitted with drawstrings right now, and hope to have them back soon... It's been a while, and I'm afraid to ask the needle lady. That being said, I really don't know anything about all that stuff. I say that because there is always someone else who knows much much more about what ever you think you know, so just to be safe... I don't know what I'm talking about, and there isn't much hope for figuring that out either.

I'll post a link to the thread with my pictures, so you can go look at my hair. The second pic down in post #10 is the one where I have a ponytail.

The funny thing is that it wasn't until this thread was dead that I was able to squeeze out a couple of pics.

Just giving this old thread a bump to see if it's dead. I do kind of wonder if String has dyed her hair blue yet if she is going to dye it.

I've noticed that the medieval folk tend to have long long hair. I've stopped getting haircuts and the front is almost long enough to go over my head to the back. At some point all of my hair will be long enough to reach past the place where I put the hair tie. I guess I could have it trimmed at that point a little... or not. I've also thought that if I get forced into having shorter hair, I might as well go for the buzz cut and see if I can just use the beard trimmer to keep it all one short lingth. Wouldn't have to go get a haircut then either, just comb my hair in the morning with the beard trimmer... grow a beard with the same buzz cut and keep it all the same short lingth, LOL!
