I've yet to find any other Keiths, my grandmother (fathers side) was of the Keith clan, and it is actually my middle name, so my father hopes that someday I'll get myself a keith tartan

Tree
Alan,
Congrats on your family tree. I have been working on mine for a couple of years now. I have found that my 6th great-grandfather was supposed to be a Highland Chief.(no proof as of yet).
I found a ton of information on Genforum.com. I have met many distant relatives..
By the way my last name is Murray.

Poles & Keiths...
I mean no disrespect to the Poles. I have met many people from Poland and I have always enjoyed their company.
Atticus -- I know you didn't, it's me who should apologise for making it sound like you did!
As far as the Keiths go, check out these web sites:

Sadly, the Chief of the Clan Keith, The Earl of Kintore, passed to his enternal reward recently. May light perpetual shine upon him.

Don't forget all those great Alexander Keith's commercials where the kilted patron wore a Keith's tartan kilt. I find that www.electricscotland.com has great information about Scottish and Clan history.

Thanks for the Keith links Todd.
My 8 great grandfather was James Keith b.1643 in Scotland....'tis but a few drops of Keith blood, but its there for sure.

My sister is a Sinclair according to her father's adoptive parents, but Keith according to his biological parents. It's a beautiful tartan by the way.
