Revisions for kiltmaking book
Hi folks
Projecting ahead, it looks like I will probably sell all the remaining copies of my book (The Art of Kiltmaking) some time in the next year and a half or so. I'm going to do a second edition, and I'm looking for volunteers who are willing to use the book to make a kilt and to offer suggestions for revisions in the instructions.
So! If you have a hankering to make a traditional kilt out of wool, I'd be happy to send you a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for suggestions about where the instructions could be improved, plus a "thank you" in the credits. If you've already bought the book and have used it to make a kilt, I'd be happy to refund your money in exchange for your comments.
Some day, I'm also going to improve my web site, and I'd love to have pictures of you and the kilt that you made using the instructions in the book. So, if you'd be willing to do that, too, that would be great.
Just as a note: this is not the kind of book that you can just read and offer comments on (except the first couple of chapters). Unless you're actually making a kilt and have fabric and needle in hand, the instructions are pretty overwhelming. So, if you want to do this, you'll really need to bash on and really make a kilt with the book.
If you're interested, PM me with your name and mailing address, and I'll get a book off to you.
Cheers!
Barb
