Clan 'God'
We all know the debates about tartans and affiliation. Not having any Scottish heritage myself (more Spanish and English in me than anything else - by blood at least) I can't lay claim to any clan tartans, even though it would be cool to have a tartan kilt I had a 'connection' with.
Then it occurred to me. What, to me, is far more important than any regional or blood affiliation? God, and my faith. Echoing the poetic language of Hebrews, I stand with those who, "make it clear that they are seeking a homeland...". Those who, "aspire to a better land--a heavenly one." I stand with those who can both joyfully and humbly hear that, "God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."
Well, a little while ago, whilst looking for my first kilt, I was looking for tartans and discovered one which gave me an idea. Until Matt mentioned it, I had know idea that there exists a 'Clergy' tartan. "Cool!" I thought. "Clan God!"
Yesterday I received two swatched I received - Clergy Ancient and Modern. (Thanks Matt!)
Now I'm not an ordained minister or anything, but it'll do, and besides, they're nice tartans!
