Also, if you can sway from the solids and move to the "dark side" with a camoflauge... Jeff at Pittsburgh Kilts has the fit and feel that you're looking for.

The USAK casual will work just fine for your needs! They hang off the hips like you're looking for, and when it comes to the value for the money... it's unbeatable. Philabegs tend to sit a little higher than the casuals.

The BearKilts are WELL worth the wait these days. I know the man's busy with huge orders, but the construction, quality and hang are unmatched for the money. That's why I have two "Grizzlys".

Glad you finally "chimed-in" on the board. We're all pretty nice around here, and the ones that bite have already had their rabies shots.

What's worse than a newbie with a question?
The answer to that question is:
A newbie who knows everything and insists everyone else is wrong.
You don't fit that bill so welcome aboard.

I'll second the suggestion to examing Pittsburgh Kilts. When I get mine, I'll probably suggest even more strongly.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the excellent suggestions. I had not taken a look at USA kilts before, even though I'd heard them mentioned many times. I think I'll give em a look...

    Greetings IrishBLE!

I was just out and about in my Bear kilt today. I waited a long time for it, but now that I have it, the wait doesn't seem so long.

Plus, I bought a Pittsburgh Kilt while I was waiting for the Bear to arrive. They are very different kilts.

I own a batch of Utilikilts too, and each one of those also has its own personality in terms of style, weight, size, movement, etc.

It's prettty amazing to me how much variety there can be in such a relatively simple garment. I guess that's why I (and many of us here) keep wanting more of them!

    You're in good company here.
