See if there are any loose fibres or cut a thread off on the fringe. Light the thread with a match or lighter. If it melts it's PV if it's wool it will stink.

My wife and I stopped in at that shop today. I came home with a gorgeous & heavy kilt belt and buckle.
The "party kilts" that they sell don't look too bad for the price. They're made offshore and only come in Black Watch or Royal Stewart tartans. They're PV material, and they seem to be fairly well made.
They also offer kilts for $450 in almost any tartan you can think of. They are made in Scotland.
I spoke to the owner for quite awhile. He said he sells almost 1000 kilts per year...makes you wonder where they all are. He loves the idea of casual kilts, and hopes that wearing them regularly catches on.

I Bought Myself One Of Those Kilts Myself It Is Wool I Am Very Happy With It They Said It Could Be Washed In The Washing Machine But Recommende Not Doing It Because Of Losing The Pleats. What I Eally Like About The Shop Is They Really Don't Try Topush Stuff On You And Apprecaite Your Business Whether It Is $10 Or $2000 And They Are Justalways So Nice

Excellent! We just might have enough locals to finally get a decent kilt night going!
I currently have 5 different kilts. Pretty soon I'll have one for each day of the week.
Btw...welcome to the forum, it's a great one!
