Well, I am sorry to have to say this, but you could be right! ;)
If the selvedge edge of a 28" long kilt was at the top of my knees, the top of the kilt would be just 1" below my nipples - well above the 2" rise position!
I will be going past in two weeks on my way to Nethy Bridge so I may pop in and get the old man to take a pic of me wearing the tweed one with his posey new phone/cam thingy. He will have to come in to the changing room cos I wont be coming out.
It is a nice kilt but I felt a bit like Margaret Rutherford playing Miss Marple...almost (dare I say it?) a tad dykey. You know the sort...flat brown brogues, hairy legs, pie crust collars and brooches at the neck (if not a woollen tie)
Now, I have always held Margaret Rutherford in great esteem - maybe that's why I like this kilt so much! Only joking ........ I say again, this is a fine kilt and I'm pleased I found it.
