Hmmm... I could write off any beer purchases on my taxes, then...
No, honest, it was a (hic!) business expense!

With practice, and much dark beer, I MAY be able to manage to blurt out the following with some resemblance of being on key:
And it's No, Nay, never,
No, nay never no more
Will I play the wild rover,
No never no more
I had best get practicing ... :-) Although I had my heart set on playing the harmonica to "Rocky Road to Dublin"
See all of you there! Don't forget the kilts and the cameras!

A close friend's (who loves my kilts) birthday is on the 14th, trying to convince all involved to go to this now-growing shindig, sounds like it's gonna be one hell of a party.

I am bringing the wife and oldest son as well. May have a few additional tag-a-longs as well .... Sounds like the Philadelphia Kilted Regiment is going to be alive and kicking for the 17th!!!
Oh, for those of you who are interested, tables near the stage can be reserved for a pre-show dinner by calling Brittinghams in advance (meaning now). Tell them you want to see BarleyJuice and are calling to reserve a table / seat for dinner and the show. They have a decent menu, and the prices are modest for the most part.
If you don't reserve a table, don't fret. I'm sure you will find a comfortable spot near the Guinness tap!

Apparently, it is going to be a nice crowd. I know of another group meeting for the night, and with the XMarks/birthday crowd... this should be memorable! If you haven't been there before, it's a quaint and entertaining venue without the "sillyness" of some of the younger bars. Sitting CAN be a good thing!
We're performing the night before in Atlantic City, but we'll be ready for the Brittingham's crowd. Since it's a RARE local appearance, it will be an energizing gig for us. The week before, we're at the September 11th weekend Irish gathering on Long Island, New York. The mayor, and a LOAD of celebrities were there last year... so it should be a blast to see who makes it this year.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again at Brittingham's! It's been a few weeks.

Hell, I might even bring my own mic for that. :-)

Who else would like to see/hear Sav get up with Kyf and Swanny and play the pipes?!Three bagpipes wailing away in Brittingham's. That alone would be memorable!
