Hmmmmm. Seems there is a hidden joke in here I don't get - so what else is new.

I was simply thinking of all the bright red and green in the tartan. (And not saying anything at all about the Windsors. )

All of the aforementioned clans have stag's head's on the chief's crest badge.

So then do any of those tartans have a predominantly red and green color. That would make it the perfect Christmas kilt.

How 'bout a kilted Santa suit? Well... okay maybe not. Hard to imagine without laughing.

You have to wonder, what tartan would Santa wear?

And would cute young women be more or less inclined to sit in Santa's lap for a portrait?

Every year the stores are filled with these "collectable" cold-cast Santa statues portraying Santa as...well, almost everything: Santa-Golfer, Santa-Fisherman, Santa-Nascar Driver, Santa-Cop, Santa-Fireman...you get the idea...

...and I swear that there was a kilted Santa-Scotsman version of this tchatchke out there (and my daughter backs my failing middle-aged memory up on this one).

Should I find one, I'll endeavour to get a photo...

Someone joined the forum a few months ago, and I can't remember the name of who it was, but I seem to remember he was a piper. He had a white beard, and was dressed as Santa in a kilt in one of his pictures. I wish I could remember who it was.
