Kilt related I received a Freelander sporran which I have already posted about, Matt Newsome's Compendium of District Tartans and an antique fly plaid brooch with a pin so large I'm afraid of it. It's nice though,

My wife got me a black chain knit sweater that goes great with the Livingston tank. I just missed out on a PC, Dad didn't know my size :-(

A CD of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band from my sis and two pairs of kilt hose from mum. When I opened the first pair (black) I was delighted because I only have one black pair which has seen heavy use recently. Someone asked about sock colour coordination and I went on for a while on this topic, ending by saying that only a piper would wear white hose. Then I opened up the second pair of white hose. Looks like I'll be taking up the pipes, I declared.
    I've kilt for less.

    I got my wife

and because We live in a little town the post mistress flagged me down on main St. and told me to check the post at the mail room and low and behold on christmas day was my gordon kilt from Stillwater, what a surprise!!!

Wore it for Christmas dinner. My mother in-law sent me money and it covered the cost of the kilt. :-)

I didn't get any kilt related gifts per say (well except for the new kilt, hose, and flashes that arrived a few days before Christmas), but I did get a couple of cool things.

    - A celtic ring (the inside knotwork actually spins seperately from the base of the ring.
    - a Clan MacKenzie coffee mug (from the London bridge in Arizona) and a Clan MacKenzie mouse pad.
    - tickets to Robbie Burn's night
    - a dart board for the pub
    - several yards of fabric for kilt making (practise for using Barb's book). I got about 6.5 yards of Gordon, 6.5 yards of Grey tweed, and a couple of yards of Royal Stewart that may be good for a kid's kilt.
    - and a bottle of Laphroaig 10 year

That's about all I can really think right now.

Sounds like everyone did really well! I got three pairs of hiking socks to wear with my kilts and boots. I also got a little ornament in my stocking of a Santa wearing a kilt. The back of the kilt is hinged, and when you lift it up, he's wearing Christmas coloured underwear!

Not directly related, but the day after Boxing Day my daughter and I got matching tattoos together - Scottish thistles!
