hello Blu... I ordered both kilts from Scotland...Chisholms Kiltmakers in Inverness...both are 8 yrd 16oz handmade , 2 straps not 3 and no belt loops.I ordered the red ancient at x-mas but the mill that supplies Chisholms didn't have any and they wouldn't be weaving another till spring .So I got the Red weathered...and in April I e-mailed to see if the red ancient was made...it was ...I ordered...it came today...The kiltmaker told me that the Chishom tartan was difficult to get that only 2 mills weaved it and only one of those weaved the heavy weight....he didn't have any red ancient and the mill wouldn't have any ready till spring
