I know this is my inner nellie talking, but whenever I want to wear jewelry, I wear it. I usually keep a brooch of some sort on my winter overcoats, for instance, and I might pin one on my jacket for a fancy dinner or special service. Of course, it entirely depends on the brooch and fabric - those big ones with the javelin-sized pins probably wouldn't work but on the topcoats with the loosest weaves.

    YMMV.

Red face how do you attach a fly plaid?

Hi this is probably a silly question. having never worn a plaid before im wondering what the correct way to attach it is. there is a loop at one end but im unsure if this is to attach it or hang it up.

The only silly question, Alastair, is the one not asked!

Take the plaid and feed one end through the left shoulder epaulette allowing the plaid to reach the top of the kilt hose or pulled down in front about 12-inches. Take the plaid brooch and attach the brooch to the plaid and jacket just below the front shoulder.

    Hope this helps...

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!
