    That is very cool, but I have to ask, where in the he!! did you find an alligator in AZ? Being an ex (and soon to be again) Flirdao boy, I could just go into my back yard, but AZ?

    You may be joking but around here you can occasionaly find small women's alligator purses with the head on in the antique shops that have the potential for conversion to a sporran.

    I looks really good, but with that wonderful natural pattern, you probably don't need the extra decoration of the tassels.

    My thought as well, though the tassel sets it apart more from a "purse" so maybe tassels made from a differnet but complimenting material.

    What if you used an "aligator foot" for the sporran flap? I love animal head sporrans, but an aligator head might be a BIT too big. I think a big Aligator foot (claw?) with the sharp nails might look nice and menacing.
