    Ordered a Freelander

I just put in an order for a Freelander sporran. I really liked the looks of the Black and Tan sporran, so I had to order one. It looks like it will coordinate quite well with the mocassin boots I have in similar colors.

He didn't have one on hand, so it will have to be made. So, I guess in about a month I'll be part of the Freelander club.

Very nice. I like Freelander's two tones very much and you're gonna love that sporran. Well made with LOTS of room.

That loud thump you just heard was me falling out of the box while thinking

Congratulations on you jonesing. I know you'll enjoy that sporran.

I was jsut thinking though, what do you get when you cross a two tone sporran with a two-tone kilt ala sports team colors?

Hmmmmm, a sporran made out of a football, soccerball (or football I guess depending on the continent ), basketball, hairball...errr scratch that last one.

Maybe a black sporran with Red, Green or Yellow 2nd color leather would probably cover a lot of teams.

Well, don't just sit there looking at me, help me back in the box!

What's the typical turn-around on a Freelander, and have folks been hit up for import duties?

I have this mental picture of myself in a horizontally barred rugby shirt in team colors, my tartan, and a regulation basketball strapped over my crotch. Perhaps with a big yellow cheese wedge for a hat!

a SWK black would look great with a soccer ball sporran, don't you think?

I'm terrible about getting pictures of myself as I'm usually the one with the camera... but I received my fantastic Freelander Sporran not long ago (a couple weeks or so) and I am nothing but pleased with David's work and his customer service!

I was surprised initially at how small it looked, but that size is misleading when you realize just how much stuff you can fit into it COMFORTABLY! And of course I don't have to tell you how nice it looks as you can tell from all the pictures of people with these great sporrans!

Also, David had initially told me it'd be about a 4 weeks to get it... then I got a huge surprise when he emailed to say that he and Sten had gotten it done early (about three weeks early!) and that it was going into the mail. I had it less than two weeks after I ordered it!

I PROMISE I'll get some pics up after this weekend... we're going to be going to the Ohio RenFest and I'll be kilted, so we'll get some shots in.

    Jamie
