My dress sporran is a badger-haired brass one, my university's mascot and part of the Brock family coat-of-arms.

The armadillo is the only mammal other than humans that contracts Hanson's Disease (leprosy). I definitely don't want one strapped 'round my waist!

I'd wear one except I'd be afraid of the darn thing coming to life, getting mad and knawing off my special parts...

Critters! I'd be into an Aussie version, maybe red kangaroo if it's not too illegal. It's a bit like having a pet along for the ride really.Kinda weird kinda neat.

I just might have to get a skunk one either before of after Christmas (a good use of Christmas $$$$.
Now, who to get it from . . .
Matt/Tartan Museum OR Mrs. Highlandtide/Mrs. Hanna?????????
:crap:

As an ethical vegetarian, I find that utterly offensive and disgusting. How immoral is it to needlessly kill an animal just for its fur..
BTW, does anyone else know the primary means used to kill fur animals?

PLEASE, LET'S NOT go down THAT road again.
It has been fought many, many times, resulting in hijacking of barely related threads and and locking.
The intent is to make everyone aware that the Tartan Museum is selling faced sporrans now (as well as the WIFE of the FORUM OWNER!!!!), so PLEASE let's not get into the validity/cruelty of fur sporrans.
If you want, I'll MAKE you a 100% vinal sprorran (I have those too), at a cost.

Sorry. I'm not a troll. I'm just stating facts related to the production of fur products. Including sporrans.

I think full mask sporrans are neat and all, but they still just kind of weird me out. To have an actual animal head staring up at you is just odd to me. Those on the museum site look great, but I just couldn't wear one.
