I've been busy making my homemade candy for Christmas. Tonight I should turn out about 14 lbs of Fudge. Half with nuts, half without. This weekend will be a variety of breads, cookies cinnamon candy and praline Carmel things I make that are dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with little sugar balls. The clock is ticking and I'm waaaay behind.

I've not tried Tunnock's Caramel Wafers, but they sound pretty good. Might have to get some and see if I can work out the recipe.

I remember when I was a student I bought a Tunnock's Snowball in the student's union at Glasgow University and when I bit into it, it was obviously an old one which had gone off. So I posted it off to Tunnocks and in return they sent me a big box of caramel wafers for free. Excellent customer relations. They deserve to be popular.

I just got back from a trip to Hershey, Pa with my wife, son, daughter in law and mmy grandson. I only had one candy bar, the one they give out at the end of the shop tour. Waiting for the good stuff in Europe. I lost 15 ponds for this trip. going to refill on food, beer and other essentials.
