Congratulations Jim! I am as impressed by your talented colour co-ordination and visual balance as I am by your sewing ability. I really cannot comment on the latter as I have never finished making the kilt I started about five years ago (didn't have enough fabric anyway!), but you are absolutely spot on with the overall appearance.

You know, though, when you make your own kilt, it's de rigeur to show off the pleats, too!

Looks awesome Jim! You should be proud, nobody would be able to tell that was not made by a practiced kilt maker. How long did it take you?

I know what you mean about accumulating fabric. I have a number of female friends who have a term for this, that I won't share on a family-friendly board, but I constantly have to restrain myself in order to not join their ranks!
Don't feel bad, I'm going to cut out my X Makrs tartan today,and I've had it for a YEAR!
