Here's a photo of me glissading in the High Sierra, using a foam sleeping pad as a "sled." I later did the same thing, but without the pad, as the slope was too steep for me to be able to adjust it. I simply pulled the kilt up between my legs and sat down. Several hundred feet later and lower I had no ill effects.
Nice pics; I'd almost forgotten about sledging. We have only had a couple of light dustings of snow here so far this winter and neither of them lay for more than an hour or two.
