Great pictures Hamish
Thank you for sharing them with us, even though I dont think I will own a 21 Century kilt for a while, they are not quite my style, or within my budget.
Having said that I do like his kilt suits, very daper indeed.

Great pictures Guys. The tartan Howie is showing you in the top photo looks like the Norwegian Centenial tartan..

Great pics Hamish, and what a good idea of having a kind of "roadshow"
I will be popping into the Edinburgh shop next month to take a closer look but like MAC Newsome and others not sure about those pockets myself!

Great pictures!
When I visited Edinburgh last summer I went to Geoffrey(Tailor), Howie wasn't there and the place was swamped with tourists and it was sickening hot that day. I'll try again when I visit Edinburgh to attend the Kilt Walk. I would love to order a Geoffrey(Tailor) kilt

As always, Hamish, you do it with style! Very sharp looking. Tell us the truth--you wore your sporran too low ON PURPOSE so that the rest of us wouldn't feel so humbled in comparison? Aye, deny it if you want . . .
One question about the button visible on your left hip---is that for the attachment of the pockets that Howie is modeling?

Hamish, I'm just completely jealous!! I would have loved to have been there.
I do admire Howie for his promotion of the kilt, and I have to agree with Matt about the pockets, nice tweed, but the pockets are not my cuppa tea.
thanks for posting the piccies

And next time you see hime, Ham, tell Howie to pull his socks up !
What a mess he looks compared with the two gentlemen customers.

However, you'll have to forgive me but I just cannot stand those huge unsightly pockets that some 21st Century kilts have. They just look frumpy to me. I've never liked the look of them, they just mess up the clean lines of the kilt.
I feel the same way about the "seat belt" buckle belt. I saw some of those at GT's booth at the Stone Mountain Highlang Games last year. Way too "urban-chic" for me. I really don't see why people feel the need to make the kilt urban and hip-hop, but then again, I don't see why anything needs to be urban and hip-hop.
One last thing: Hamish, next time you see Howie, you will tell him to tuck his shirt in, won't you? :-)
Matt
Ditto on everything above. On the other hand, Ham, you and Jim look great.

That is a great looking kilt Howie's got on. It appears that he is wearing a standard suit jacket and not a kilt jacket.
Looks like a very nice time. It must be nice to be able walk into a "brick and mortar" kilt store and browse the inventory just as any other store. We need something like this in Georgia.
Hmmmmmm, a combination kilt store and micro-brew...got to do something while the yeast does it's work.

Great pictures Hamish. Thanks for sharing.
Personally, I have to agree with Matt about pockets and the belt buckle but more power to Howie because he wears them well
