Ok, I'm looking for opinions here.

I'm one of the guys (hopefully) getting a US Army tartan from USA kilts. Prior to ordering, I had decided that I wanted it pleated to stripe. Specifically the green stripe right after (to the right of) the yellow stripe. In other words the vertical yellow would be just covered by each plead thus hiding it while you are standing still and flashing as you walked.

Rocky says he can do it, but has really cautioned me that it may look funny (lawn chair butt was his term) since the tartan is fairly dark except for the yellow stripe.

Anyway, I have tried to create an approximation of what the pleating would look like (it's a quick job, my photoshop computer is down at the moment).

First the tartan (at least I'm hoping it will be this dark and not the bright version that Sport Kilt sells)

Next I tried to recreate the tartan with an online tartan designer (it's not perfect, but it's close)

Finally what the stripe would look like across my backside

So what do ya'll think? Good, bad, I'm nuts. How would you pleat it? As my 4th tartan I really would like something pleated to stripe.
