Matt's Box-Pleated Kilts...
Oh, odds bodikins, am I starting to Jones and Jones...!!!!
I ordered a 4-yd. Box from Matt in my MacNicol Ancient Hunting, 16oz Strome, at the end of April. He's already received the cloth from Lochcarron, and I'm in the sewing queue. I will be picking it up at Grandfather Mountain. This will be my third kilt, but THE one I'm most interested in. My Dress Red and Modern Hunting MacNicols are really nice. but they're not Matt's own work.
Already got a special new belt from Cavscout which I'm gonna wear with it. Have to find a really special kilt pin now. Whadda they call this disease...Jonesnewmonia??
I'll bet there's no cure for it, either......!!!!!

Nothing is worn under the kilt...everything works just fine!!

Congratulations on the stylish end to a looooonnnnngggg Jones for you. That's a beaut. The weathered tartan is fabulous. I think it's my next order in Gordon Weathered.

That is a beautiful tartan. What a large sett too!
Don't have an box pleats, but hope they swing as well on your 16oz strome as knife pleats to.
16oz...you aren't just hooked now, the hook is set deeply.
Enjoy the quality.

Thank you for posting that Brad! You are one happy looking dude in your new duds! It sounds as if the wait was worth it for you.....
Now, one step closer

Yep, you are certainly one step closer. The wait will be worth it. I can now promise you that. I've been thinking. If I were to get an IOS tartan kilt, I would probably go with another box pleat in the Lochcarron strome. Looking forward to seeing yours!
