While I applaud your efforts and hope that he might actually show up and learn something about the garment, I don't think it'll happen.
It's been my experience that "reporters" generally don't. They're in for the muckraking and rabble-rousing, and would prefer to not actually know anything about the topics on which they choose to speak.

Oh aye! The mistakes I can catch in fields where I know something about the subject reported on are amazing. They tend to lead me to distrust much of what I see confidently reported about fields, of which I know nothing.

I e-mailed my contact in MN yesterday with the article; she said she was going to respond to Mr. Wilson and inform him of the Minnesota tartans and the Minnesota Tartan Day ceremony in Minneapolis in April.

I liked some of the comments posted at the end of the article. The article itself was... blah.

I e-mailed this guy a short note never expecting an answer:
"Mr. Wilson,
Please check out the pictures here to see how kilts can make any man look great at a wedding.

Wear it proudly – it is a man’s garment and not a skirt (but I’m sure you’ve heard that enough already).

P.S. I have three kilts and wear them to anything from formal dinners to playing golf. They are very versatile."
The response:
"Thanks, Chris....Yes, the skirt thing is quite BIG...."
I guess some of us are getting through to him. I was just surprised he took time for a response from a large national newspaper. And just maybe he did come here to take a look, hopefully.

Imagine my surprise to get the following e-mail from Craig today:

With a last name like "Wilson" you'd think he would be a bit more open to kilts and his own heritage.
