Congratulations, Ham. As a cancer survivor myself, I know how good it feels to be told "you only need a semi annual or annual check". It's been 8 years now for me.

To get back on topic, thanks, Cessna, for the pictures. I've always been a great fan of the RAF. AS a kid, I built an entire squadron o Spitfire models.

    That's good news Hamish!

Although I finished chemo in 2002 I am still on 3 monthly check-ups, the next one is tomorrow - kilted of course!

I do trust that you took the train to London so to encompass your greatest pleasaures - kilts, plains & trains.
Sadly, I now find trains in Britain are too expensive and unreliable for travelling from Scotland to London. Air fares are a fraction of the price, you are guaranteed a seat, flights almost always on time, and very rarely cancelled. I make the main part of the trip by Easyjet which lands at Stansted in Essex (which they call London) and from there I complete the journey by train to London, which takes about a further hour and costs about as much as my air fare. So yes, kilts, 'planes and trains do all feature in my day out.
