You do get lots of attention this way!
critique away!
I can see the enlarged picture although its a little dark:
Pleats in rear? Check.
Wide belt? Check.
Sporran? Check.
Kilt pin? Check.
Knees visible? Check.
It all looks good to me!
Wear it with pride, and welcome to the addiction.

Welcome to the neighborhood
Kilts...There not just for Scots anymore
Looks like a good fit to me. I would opt for some long kilt socks or if you prefer to wear them pushed down find a black boot sock that will give you a bit more mass around the ankle.
I'd reserve the waist plate style belt for a dressier occasion but for daily wear find a more casual belt similar to what you might wear with jeans only wider (no less than 2" for a Stillwater kilt because of the 24" length is my personal taste.)
Great first kilt though! Congratulations!

Welcome from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. All looks good, except I'd center the belt buckle. Some where in this forum, and you will see it pop up from time time, are pictures of formal, semi formal and casual kilt wearing. You can also search for them. Stay with us and you will learn a lot just from reading and looking.
Welcome!
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!
