    I think that older Welsh tartan looks pretty good. The tartan I was referring to a "Christmassy" is the St. David's Tartan.

    You are a genius! That tartan sample you showed is very nice and definitely fits my tastes. For that matter, Ron's PoW tartan is also a good idea.

    Yeah, the one I haven't been so keen about is indeed the St. David's...just my personal preference as i said in my original post.

    I have my tartan (Madoc) from the welsh tartan center and it looks great. I hadn't seen the pride of wales tartan before....that looks nice!

    I hadn't come across that one Matt!

    As ozone said he had seen pictures I assumed he was referring to the St David's (Brithwe Dewi Sant) which is the one generally considered to be the National tartan of Wales.
