It was a blast!....hetter'n blazes, but great.
Thomsec, we shook hands briefly, but I didn't realize you an on an X-Kilt! Now I gotta see this, it got a rave reviews from everyone.
Tim C is da Man with the caber, he turned it on his first toss. I managed a good pic on my third toss and almost got a turn...and 80-degree'er. He also did extremely well on the weight for height, and placed 2nd I think..
My cetificate has a goof in it, I actually cleared 10 feet in the weight over the bar..
Highland Games with the rabble is always a good time, and Gene and Ruth of the MacNaughtons are wonderful.

Hey everyone that came out - thanks for the support! It was a blast to compete and you made me feel like I was infront of a hometown crowd. Wish I could have stayed around a bit longer afterwards, next time perhaps.

Excellent photos. Thanks for sharing the day. Wish I could have been there. X-markers really know how to have great kilted days out.

Excellent pics, thanks for sharing! I wish we could have made it over for those games as well.
I love the way the Wicked Tinkers come out into the audience to get the kids involved.

More fun...
Our young, kiltwearing friend, Casey, especially liked the dance competitions, and especially one dancer in particular. (Ah, Spring is such a wonderful time.)

A kilt fitting took place for one of our members. A minor modification was identified before the kilt, in his family tartan, could be completed. He became quite adept at kilt-changing in public:

In a follow-on session, he was taught how to hand-fringe his tartan fly plaid.
Other activities:
Swapping fabrics for X-kilts,
Camping out,
Swapping lies ,
Visiting in clan tents,
Clan marches,
Piping competitions,
Working animal demonstrations,
Musical entertainment of all sorts,
Meeting other XMarksTheScot members,
and on and on...
