yes...body glide is the way to go. used it in germany while chasing the US games. 20hrs in a kilt during a german heat wave and everything worked out great. no chaffing or turning into hamburger...

Another Zonie for Body Glide! Love the stuff.
Only down side in the heat - like if you take the small size with you in your sporran for touch ups (explain to the other guys in the men's room what you're doing reaching up under your own kilt...) is that it softens in the heat and sometimes comes apart.
So..I keep mine indoors and cool and lube up as well as possible and try to keep an extra as cool as possible somewhere, somehow.

I hope I can find some Body Glide near me. The last time I had, ah, issues was last summer when my Lady and I hiked Tahquammenon Falls. We're hiking the falls again for our 1 yr., and I don't want a repeat of that particular, ah, issue.

Good thinking, David. I do not think we can get it over here. I'd like to try it sometime, just to see what all the fuss is about - maybe I'll look for it in Palm Springs at Christmas. Anyway, I have been an advocate of talc for more years than I care to remember, and it works for me!

I never had any problems...I feel left out now
Maybe because I'm used to long walks my whole life?

You're not alone, Robin.
I too am beginning to think I'm missing some deep long-lasting pleasurable experience.
Is it simply because it rarely gets above 35°c and is never humid in this part of Europe?
Or has my skin (or my delicate areas?) become just to leathery with age?

i've been happy with Gold Bond powder for our hot-humid summers. but wow, all the rave reviews of Body Glide makes me want to try some right now. i should be able to find it easily, there are 3 R.E.I. stores around me.

Ditto.
Backpacking, yardwork, whatever... no chafing. Must be my bird-legs.
The only "inconvenience" I suffer is the tickling feeling as rivulets of sweat run down my legs. I've often thought powder (or a bifurcated cotton undergarment ) might help, but "costs" outweigh other "benefits."
