Does it look ok all together?
Yes; you're good to go.
Where should the tie bottom rest?
Precisely where it is. It looks goofy hanging down in front of the belt.
I was thinking of wearing oatmeal hose with an oatmeal shirt, would that look ok?
Yes. I like more color myself, but that looks fine.
Any suggestions of color of shirt and hose for a wedding would be appreciated.
That would entirely depend upon the formality (or lack thereof) of the wedding. At a semi-formal wedding during the day, where sassenachs would be in a suit and tie, the above rig would serve admirably. At a more formal evening wedding, rent a Prince Charlie and waistcoat, get a $4.00 bow tie, and loose the belt. At an informal beach or garden wedding, loose the jacket.

Looks great.
Two small suggestions, and they may only be relevent to this partiular photo, try and make your hose tops even, and your collar looks unbuttoned. I know my dress shirts tend to be a little tight in that area, but adjusting your tie can help hide it.

Ties and kilts are always a problem. Some people tuck the end inside the kilt. It probably works best when worn with a waistcoat.
The Kilt is my delight !

That's what I do, checked with Geoffrey Kiltmaker's catalogue and that's what their models are doing.
I'll start a bit of a row over the flashes, which I haven't worn in 30 years, but ever since someone posted, on a different thread, that they should be further forward, so many pics have come in with flashes too far forward.
I like the comment someone made about not upstaging the bride. I've had it happen at one wedding where some of us got the impression there were more pics of me and the bride than the groom and bride. After that, I became more careful wearing my kilt to weddings.

You look pretty good to me. Like others have said, fix the knot of your tie.
Ideally, the bottom of the tie should hit right at the top of the kilt, so yours is just about perfect in length. Also, theoretically, there shouldn't be any of the kilt showing over the belt; the tops of the belt and kilt should be even. I know that's hard to do though, so it's not a real criticism.

Thanks for all of the adivce. I kinda knew I would catch some guff for the tie and shirt not being done up perfect. Next time I will know better and do it all up right first.
To answer some questions it is a wedding in Central Illinois (read somewhat redneck) so I am thinking simi-formal at best. The tie is shadow tarten just like the kilt.
Would anyone suggest colored hose and shirt?
