Good luck.
I've been a fan of our judicial system, despite their attempts to tank two family vacations and a trade show.

Update On Jury Duty
GOOD DAY ALL, Just a quick note about jury duty. I was in and out in less than 10min. I told the jury clerk that I had plans to be out of town on Fri. June 1, and would it be okay to get a deferment until mid June. No problem fill this out and we will sent you a new notice of when to report. COOL ! I was held up at the screening at the entrance with metal in sporran, metal chain on sporran, kilt pin. belt buckel, buckels on kilt. Well, when I go back I will be ready, and I don't have a problem taking the time to serve on a jury, but I have never been on one so I don't really know what it well like.
THANKS AND GOOD DAY Wes

Every time I've been called, I sit in the waiting room for a few hours, and then get dismissed.

Expect a lot of time sitting in the jury pool room waiting to be called - so take something to read or something to work on.

I've been called four times. First time, the guy changed his plea to guilty just before actual selection started. The second time, the trial was canceled when I called to confirm. The third, the defense didn't like the fact that I said that my opinion on violence was that it was a last resort. The fourth time I was called in my hometown a few months after moving up here and therefore could not serve. So while I've never actually sat on a trial I've sure had my share of jury duty experience.

I must be a guy with an honest face. I have been called to jury duty three times. Two times for the county and one federal case. In each instance, I got placed on the jury. It is an interesting experience.,...
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

The last time I had the duty I brought a book about a Marine sniper, didn't do me any good - I got stuck on the cases.
