    That is 1500 years.
It is in the 7th century biography of St Colum Chille/Columba.

Oops forgot a digit, thanks for the correction. Yes, I've read about the St.Columba account. (what a great man he was).

I didn't get to see the whole video as I was distracted by the sasquatch that ran by my office window.

Very true Graham. If nothing else, at least Drumnadrochit and Inverness will get some tourist $$$$$ this summer (is that a good or bad thing though?).

Either its a log just below the surface or a bit of photoshopping, but hey its good fun and boosts tourism.

I think it'd be great for someone to actually get a good pic or video with several credible witnesses then for it to disappear for a good long time. They say it's possible, so why not. It or it's kin could very well have survived since way back when. It's fun to belive in such things.

Could something live for 1500 years?

Perhaps there is more than one and they breed every so often...

Surely that would be Nessie-ssary for the survival of the species!

We have our own Loch Ness Monster in Williamsburg, Va. Not quite the same thing, but still a lot of fun.
