Last Tuesday was a horrible day at work, but that all changed at 4pm when I went to the Post Office and found the package from USAK with my St. David's kilt!

Eventually I want to add the Lloyd kilt, but it may be a while.

    Thanks Kelly!

First chance today to wear my new St. David's USAK from Kelly today.
Wore it to church and then at lunch we had a Volunteer's recognition dinner.
Had some nice comments and a couple of good opportunities to talk about kilts and cilts in general.
Here are a couple of pics

How did I miss this thread??!!

Don't know if it counts, since its a fashion tartan, but I have a Prince of Wales USA Kilts casual that I really really wish I'd had done in semi-traditional. It is a beautiful tartan that incorporates the colors of the Welsh flag.

Also have on my wish list an Owen/Bowen tartan to honor my Bowen line from Langenith, Gower, South Wales and Henry Bowen of that line who came to America in the mid 1600s. He fought in King Phillip's War as an Ensign at the Kingston Swamp storming the Naragansset fort.

Also suspect I have a Lewis line to attend to from Wales. Don't have the history but great great grandfather John Lewis worked the coal mines, so highly probable its gonna pan out a Welsh line.

I have a Prince of Wales also but didn't count it as a Welsh cilt tartan though no harm in making it an honarary one!

My wish list includes at least one tartan in honor of my godfather, who was born in Wales and married a Carolina girl. St. David's has been the early favorite, but I need to recall his home place and compare any district tartans or family lines.

Maybe I'll find that I need all three. So, Derek, I think the answer is that if you ask a leading tartan question in a room full of kilt addicts... well, the answer is predictable.
