    the kilted "in seam"

That same episode answers the question of how to measure a man in a kilt for a pair of trousers. The kilted gent holds the tape at the approximate height of their crotch on the outside of their leg and lets the tape fall to the floor.

It was a funny episode, nonetheless!

So why are you not taking a kilt with you to Hyderabad? I would think that kilts would be accepted there, or at least considering the climate, they'd be comfortable as leisure wear at home.

The job function that I will be playing there will not lend itself well to the wearing of the tartan. I will also be sharing dormitory style housing for the period of time. All in all, it just is going to be better to 'blend' in.

Is that possible?? I think you have as much chance of "blending in" as I do at a Garth Brooks concert. :::rimshot:::

Yeah, that is probably true... At 6"1 290, I am not going to blend easily!

Won't you miss those hilarious kilted encounters if you omit to take a kilt to Hyderabad? It would do no harm to pack one to go along with you, in case the opportunity arises to wear it.
