I washed the fabric this weekend, cut it out this morning and ironed/turned up the selvedge to hem it. It's gonna be out of "predator" camouflage. Thanks for the material, way2fractious!

I still have no digital camera aside from the awful one in my phone, so no pics, but I'm going to make it using techniques completely different from my instructions, anyway. Stll, when it's done, I will have a narrow-apron, 3-inch box pleated, close-with-buttons-and velcro contemporary kilt.....ergo, an X-Kilt as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be doing this in a mess of 60 and 90 minute sessions so this is going to take a while, I think. But that's OK.

Oh, maybe I'll snap a few pics along the way, if y'all can tolerate junky cellphone pictures.

I think Alan's Personal Contemporary Kilt #2 will be a full-width apron, 5 yard knife pleated kilt out of digicamo....material also care of way2fractious. I like Richards digicamo knockaround kilt a lot, so I'll just shamelessly copy the idea; makes sense since he gave me the fabric. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

I plan to make that one a backpacking and hiking kilt, as well as general knockaround.
