Looks like you guys had a great time. It's always good to see the kilt used in such modern ways.

    Looking good, Paul.

I was sorry not to have made it, but I was compensated - The entire Union Kilts 'team' turned up outside my home late on Friday evening with a van full of kilts and display equipment (including a couple of spectacular photographic panels!!). I hesitate to say this, but they left sometime after midnight one kilt less than they had when they arrived! It is a very nice black, poly-cotton, fully pleated kilt with which I am delighted. Guess that makes The Kollection 81.

It was great meeting them face-to-face for the first time and I DO hope they did a roaring trade (if you, and they, will pardon the expression ). I gather over 130,000 people attended the Pride in the Park event on Saturday, so who knows!!

the fabric of the kilt on the right is a wool herringbone tweed with a very fine red thread through it,and I'm not sure that it is that modern, plain tweed fabrics are not that unusual! WE got lot offavourable comments on the day as well!
I think it works very well. and dare I say that my kilt and that one were made by me!

    Paul:

I think the tweed kilt looks wonderful. I really enjoy my Newsome box pleat in charcoal tweed.

    Best,

Looks like a good time was had by all and nice to see another Union Kilts tartan wearer!

Trust Hamish to get a van load of kilts turn up - Richard only brought me the one!
