Saturday the 1st, Wednesday the 19th or Wednesday the 26th would work great for me. I took Sunday the 2nd off for the Cruise around Lake Ontario. See thread here

I'm good for any day but would prefer weekends because of the drive and 5 am wake up during the week. Sept 1st is looking very desirable as the 2 G's can make it.

Sadly, I am triple booked for the 1st of September, but don't let me hold back the majority! Who knows, maybe everything else will tank and I will have to go out with the rabble!!

So is it going to be the Kilt and Clover on the 1st of September? I have been reading reviews and it does not seem like it's worth the drive I would rather go somewhere that I can at least get a decent meal as I will not be drinking. Pete was talking about the London Arms I was checking out the reviews for them and it seems like it would be better, so my vote is for the London Arms. Here is a map.

I've been to the Kilt & Clover. I thought the food was just fine.

I've been horsing around all of this week, but I'll check out the two pubs of interest tomorrow night. The London Arms seems to be connected with a Kahuna ?? restaurant, but I'll let y'all know what's going on. September 1 could be a good night.

London Arms vs Kilt and Clover
I just returned from these two pubs.
The Kilt and Clover has entres for about $9.00 and pretty bar maids who wear kilted-skirts.
BUT... it's a small corner pub that would be crowded with perhaps 40 people (It consists of two sides of a square at the corner). There's seating outside, but if it was raining, or cold, it'd be hard to jam everyone inside. At 9:00 Port Dalhousie was relatively quiet. There are four or five other pubs very close by and we could easily go bar hopping with out wearing out our Ghillies. The bar maids were surprised that this Saturday was so quiet, and next week, it may be the same as it'll be moving in weekend for colleges and universities.
I think my vote goes to the London Arms, if you want a pub styled similarly to the pubs we've been frequenting for our SOKS nights so far. The food averages about $12.00, bottled beer $4.50 and full pint for $5.50. There'd be Karaoke every Saturday night, but there's more room for us, and a patio outside, if the night's temperature is comfortable. There is a quieter side partly out of sight of the Karaoke, but not out of ear-shot. ;) The karaoke side was full and the other side about half full. The London Arms is one of the closer off-campus pubs for Brock University and Niagara College (Glendale Campus).
The London Arms is located down at the back of the Pen Center, St. Catharines, Ontario. Take the 406 Port Colborne exit off the QEW, exit the 406 at Glendale, turn right, turn right across from the McDonalds into the parking area, and drive down the hill just before the Cinemas. The back entrance is a door beside the Cinemas, or from inside the Mall entrance.
My vote therefore, is for:
Saturday, September 1 @ 8:00 p.m. at the London Arms, Pen Center, St. Catharines, ON

Reason: pint price correction @ $5.50
